Shenandoah Legal Group’s Collections Section is a full service creditor’s rights law section of the firm which concentrates on consumer and retail collections, subrogation, commercial litigation, residential real estate foreclosure, and creditor’s rights in bankruptcy. The firm was founded in 1994 with a vision of providing efficient and effective creditor representation throughout the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, while continuing to provide clients personal attention. While reducing claims to judgment is certainly an important step in the collection process, SLG prides itself in its knowledge and ability to effectively enforce judgments in an ethical manner and in accordance with the mandates set forth under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Our focus, size, and automation permit a quick response and personal handling of claims in the areas we service. SLG supports regular court dockets in General District Court (claim size up to $25,000) and in Circuit Courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

SLG typically charges competitive hourly and contingency fee rates on consumer and commercial collection matters as well as subrogation claims. In addition, we are certainly willing to discuss flat fee and blended fee arrangements for certain contested matters such as simple contract or credit card matters. We are also willing to negotiate fees on a case-by-case basis for contested claims involving complex legal issues and those requiring extensive legal resources.
